Op 28 maart jl. heeft de wijkraad Binnenstad Haarlem zichzelf opgeheven. In plaats daarvan is het wijkplatform Binnenstad023 opgericht.
Het Wijkplatform Binnenstad Haarlem (WB023) is een informeel en laagdrempelig intermediair tussen gemeente, bewoners, forensen, bezoekers, ondernemers en horeca. Voor een leefbare binnenstad is overleg en contact tussen alle personen essentieel en communicatie cruciaal. Daarom verscheen in de week van 10 tot en met 16 november een flyer op alle matten van postcodegebied 2011. De eerste tastbare uiting uit een scala van communicatiemogelijkheden.
Een belangrijke manier van communiceren is de nieuwsbrief. Momenteel heeft het WB023 zo’n twaalfhonderd unieke e-mailadressen. Dat moeten er meer worden, zo luidt het doel. Uit onderzoek (postconcurrent.nl) blijkt dat het 2011-postcodegebied zo’n 9.100 brievenbussen heeft. Meer specifiek het beoogde gebied beslaat de binnenstad die wordt begrensd door de wateren (Spaarne, Leidsevaart, Raamvest en de bolwerken). Dus, er zijn nog wat adressen te winnen.
